Great thanks for taking the time to write a positive comment, how did you get on did you manage to fix the problem? Let me know if you need a video on how to put an auto air vent on and if you haven't already, don't forget to like and subscribe!
Nick, I live in a Bungalow and there is a small radiator not heating in our ensuite. I have balanced the radiators and made no difference. I removed the rad and cleaned it out. The only way to heat it is to turn off my sons rad in his room. Can I run two pips from the manifold in my hotpress up into the attic and drop them down to feed the rad.? Thanks Niall (Ireland)
Hi Niall, thanks for the message, if you send me a picture of the manifold it’ll help me guide you, however if it’s the type of manifold which is most common, they eventually become blocked, assuming you’ve bled the air out of the rads it sounds like you have a partial blockage, I would put this amzn.to/458iJOl into your radiator system to help clean and unblock it, then you’ll need to drain all water and refill and then put this in amzn.to/3ZASHlU that should solve your problem. You can also use the link below to help put the chemical into the rads. Hope that helps 👍 amzn.to/3tays2d
Thanks Nick I will do during the week. I'd did run a furnox cleaner through it before. It's a dual system oil and a stove which heats the rads as well. The plumber didn't have all the pipes coming back to the manifold so he must of tapped into the rads. I extended the manifold myself and fixed two pipes he had joined together in the hot press, all the others are under a concrete floor. Im not surif I can do a short video a send it to you here? But enjoy your weekend and I'll chat soon. Thanks again Niall
Great video Nick. I have a question, with the system shown with pipes in the loft, how do you drain down the complete system? Is it literally draining one radiator at a time? and how do you drain the remaining water from the boiler? I'm wanting to drain down and add a cleaner, then drain down again before adding an inhibitor.
Hi CT thanks for your kind words, If you haven't already please like and subscribe to my page as it really helps. if the pipes are in the loft and going down to the radiator/s then yes you will have to drain down all radiators individually. With the boiler hopefully there will be a drain off below the boiler or a valve with a nut and olive on, if so you can take your spanners to it and slowly open it up allowing the water out safely into a bucket. Hope that helps
Hi Nick, could I send you a video of my dual heating system, oil and solid fuel. My solid fuel has been working with no problem for years. I had a chap looking at it years ago and he put a cleaning trap on it and a one way valve on another pipe. My problem is that when I bought heating oil for the first time in years, now when I put it on the water pitches out of the overflow pipe in the attic. I didn't have much confidence in the chap who looked at it years ago. I'm handy at this if I'm showing what to do. Any help would be much appreciated Niall
I replaced 3 radiator after my system not working i mean all 10 radiators not working I try bleed all radiators but still not working Please help me Thanks I have combi boiler and single pipe system
