How to Remove and Replace a Camshaft Position Sensor - Chrysler PT Cruiser 2 4L Non Turbo 

Thanks for the video, helped me change out mine. I removed the air box since it freed up a lot of room (just a flathead to loosen the intake hose, then pull the box out) to take the bolts out, I’d like to mention the socket is 5/16 or 8mm (if it’s not too big) for the 2 bolts.

I replaced my sensor following your video. great job.

So glad you covered the removal of the red lock tab on the wire connector. I saw another video where the guy just squeezed it and it came off and I was frustrated cause I could not get it to budge. I'll bet his lock tab was already broken. Thumbs up, new subscriber.

I really appreciated this video & the education. However, if the car still runs & the part is removed then the car can't be driven to go buy the part. :) I'm still subscribing.

What is the original brand of the camshaft for the PT cruiser? Or can you tell me a good brand to but 1 to replace mine? I'm not finding it in Brazil.

What's the reason you're replacing the camshaft position sensor? Is it because of leaking? Or did it stop working? Also, the rubber tube that you unplugged from the side of the airbox, where does it go to on the engine? My car is missing that part. I have an 05 Chrysler PT Cruiser.

I know this is the non turbo one but is the camshaft position sensor is in the same spot on the turbo engine as well?

I have a no start issue. The code was to replace the camshaft sensor. I did. I also bought a new starter and new spark plugs. My car still won't crank.

What are symptoms of a bad sensor? I have a small oil leak and was told it was prone to leaking.

so if i do this ...do i need to set timming on tdc first? or will the engine figure it out?

Is there a way to test that piece you removed (Senor) I noticed it has 3 pins. Can I connect it to a battery like a fan test, and will it turn on that flat oily side?

i just change my camshaft senser cause my engine light came on an the code came back to the sensor wen i change the sensor the light came off but mow the car iddle ruff what could be the problem?

I replaced it and it just went bad again. Any thoughts? Maybe the wire is sending wrong voltage or something? The code went away after I replaced it but its back again. THANKS! (code P0340 with P0325)

Can anyone tell me where the crank position sensor is located on a turbo 2004 Pt c

maybe you can help figure out my problem, 2002 pt cruiser 36,000 miles,, died at a stop light no warning... garage said crank sensor they replaced it, check engine stays on and it still dies once in a while. yet they said they by passed pcm to fuel pump.. said fuel pump pressure was fine....... what would you guess is next.

I have a 2003 PT Cruiser Base Wagon (non turbo). The engine light was on & off, but after a visit to Midas...now is on all the time. I have this codes: ....P0456 & P0441...... I know there are more than one sensor in the car, so I'm thinking in go to a Junk Yard & see if I get lucky. (thigh budget) I just want to know the location of all sensors possibly related to the problem or if you can make a video...better!!
