Great job. I always enjoy your informative videos. The panel cover and amplifier fixation bracket does not need to be removed completely for replacement but I understand the need for video tutorial purposes. The bracket slides do unpin under the floor. However, I would rather totally remove the amp from the current position.

On my 06 330i manual after listing for 1/2 hr or 1 hr the sound starts to go up and down ... pretty annoying . Would it be the amplifier or the radio ?

I have no sound after Recoding replacement CCC but it had sound before recoding. I used protool coding and might have coded wrong. How to fix so sound can come back?

I have the same amp in my E64 ( Logic 7 L7 Top-HiFi) but, both the subwoofers wouldn't work and there was no bass at all. Everything else works, just no bass at all. For me (after tremendous blood sweat and tears), it turned out to be the negitive output for both left and right subs from the amp that are at fault. I used the center channels negative wire and connected it in parallel to the it with the subs return negative lead, and suddenly I have bass. I did the same for the other side, and still used the center channels negative lead to the amp (but continued using the subs own positive wire). Nutshell: Bypass the negative wires for the subs, and instead tap in to a different speakers negative wire. Then, to prevent any further strain on this already failing amp, i decided to use the positives output for each of the subs from the L7 amp, and the negitve from the center channel to feed directly into a high level input (speaker line, as opposed to RCA) of a second cheap amp to drive the subs. Working nicely so far. Hope this spares someone the pain I had to go through to figure this out. I really did not want to spend £350 for a second hand ebay one (which could well fail after a month). Apperently bmw will sell u a reconditioned L7 amp, but i never investigated that route. I still do not know what exactly failed in the amp to cause the no bass issue, but i know this workaround is going strong for me.

I think this is pretty common as my 335i and another mates 335i have no bass what do ever n stereo sounds crap where as another friend has an e92 n stereo sound is awesome!

You do not have to remove any of the bolts,just pull those 2 tabs he shows you at the end,they can be bent a little to get them fully out.The amp will pop right out

Needs to be coded to car, literally google e92 amplifier upgrade and it’s the first thing that comes up on e90post, find out what stereo system you have and u can find out how to code it n do what’s best to install

Are the Lear amps of the E90 and E91 interchangeable? I have an E91 with and amp I need to replace and have an E90 amp that looks exactly the same but the part number is slightly different.

Anyone know what the other set of connectors are for? The ones that were not connected to anything after the amp was removed. You'll see it as a set with a visible brown wire.

Maybe because you have the base stereo system. The base system is powered by the head unit. Easiest way to check is to see if you have tweeters on your A-pillars. If yes then you should have an amp somewhere. If no you have the base stereo system.

What model do you have? If it’s the station wagon than after you remove the trunk carpet you have to go up and remove the other trunk carpet. It usually lifts up

@@easyfix6405 e90 salon, yea it has the worst sound complication. Already looking to upgrade, still managed to connect an additional subwoofer with amplifier into stock radio :)
