@@jacobmeleciox8707 you’re not supposed to wear TAMPONS for more than 4 hours tho? Does she get up and change it half way through the night or something? And she can’t be bleeding that heavily bc tampons hold less blood than other menstrual method? And if she can wake up after having a tampon in after it’s exceeded time of 4-6 hrs and have nothing on her undies or sheets then her bleed is not that heavy at all. Its just dirty and unhygienic to wear tampons to sleep and it even says on the instructions! THATS why.. and women can bleed from other things other than a period and those reasons don’t allow tampons to be inserted either, so?.. Women have their reasons and no 2 women will experience the same menstruation and a woman handles it the way she sees fit for her body and wellbeing. You really can’t expect ALL women to menstruate the same, surely? Like do you really think having a tampon inside your body for the possible 6-8 hrs you most likely sleep for and when the instructions say NOT to exceed 4-6hrs is healthy?..

IT WORKS‼️ I am doing this as a type. Aunt Flo showed up in the middle night. Just great. Found this vid & another vid that gave me similar steps except this one use the iron. So I opted for this one since prior mishaps left the ring. And it works!!!! AND I AM USING THE 3% Walgreens brand peroxide. The blood was nearly gone with just use of 3% peroxide but the ammonia sealed the deal. Now working on the ring 🙌🏾 & will clean up prior mishaps.

The only thing is that I had my iron on the highest setting and I touched a dry spot and I burned the fabric and it tore a little but I am going to put some fabric glue and patch it. I will be using a mattress cover which I always use. Keeps the mattress new.

I used Windex ammonia-based foam window cleaner to clean a blood spot. It took a long time and a lot of scrubbing and there was still a barely visible stain left. I then cleaned a urine stain with baking soda, peroxide, and Dawn and it completely removed the urine stain, so I tried it on the remaining blood stain, which made it nearly invisible. I need to do a repeat cleaning of the blood stain, but I'm positive it will come out completely. I didn't use any heat. The urine and blood stains both spread no matter how careful you are, but if you keep at it, all stains will disappear. Urine and blood stain cleaning is NOT a 20 minute job. I had a mattress protector on the bed but there was a section that wore through that I didn't see which caused the urine stain. The blood stain was on the side of the mattress that the protector didn't cover. Needless to say, I bought a new protector for the mattress. I have no doubt that the method described above will work.

Treat the mattress the same way you would a piece of clothing. Check the type of material the mattress is made of on the tag, then adjust the iron heat setting to that material type. Iron temp? I burnt my mstress :/
@TheStainGuide

Similar to ironing clothing, the iron temperature setpoint should be adjusted to the mattress material type. Check the fabric type on the mattress tag. If you are unsure what material your mattress is made of, use a low or synthetic material temperature setpoint.

@@TheStainGuide Thank you SO MUCH. You don't know how much these little bits of information are everything when you're 'in' it (hell). I was using medium low iron - 30 seconds, turned it a bit blue. Argh. And cloudy ammonia is not the same as ammonia. And 3% peroxide is not the same as 6% peroxide. Argh. Can I use plain bleach? And I don't think you can buy ammonia anymore in Australia.

@@kmm2442 look at the ingredients on the back of the bottle. Many times ammonia products don't say ammonia on the front, instead they will use another name like "amonex" for example.

The set blood stains didn't foam at all.

If the stain is 100% set in, it generally will not stain at all.

Why only 6% hydrogen peroxide and not higher? 🤷
@TheStainGuide
@TheStainGuide Год назад
Because 6% gets the job done. I don't like to recommend stronger cleaning agent concentrations than what is needed to get the stains out.

Your mattress is getting wetter and wetter and wetter! Not good!!!
@TheStainGuide

Yes, the hydrogen peroxide spreads out and makes the mattress damp. It dries quite quickly though. If you need it to dry very quickly, you can dry the damp area with a towel when done. You can also use the iron on a low temp to dry the area quickly.
