Just to be clear your headlights that you were replacing have the angel eyes right not just the basic headlights

So I’m having an issue with mine today and mine looks like this except it’s attached to a red and blue wire. I can’t disconnect it. Am I doing something wrong ?

I cant seem to pull the contactors out, are they usually a pain in the ass to pull out? Because I have been trying for about an hour now , my fingers are getting numb lol. Please if you know any tips let me know asap

Aptutte yes they are, it took us quite a while as well. They are even worse on an E90.

The two top plastic screws require a Tork 30 piece and the bottom screws require an 8mm socket with an extension bar on your wrench. Hope that helps someone.

I have to deal with this job and I attempted to remove it once but stopped and screwed everything back together. Its gonna be a biaaach when I finally get to do it.

There's a slot in the wheel well to remove the light, so you don't have to spend three days doing what this guy did.

Three days, there four bolts and a wire clip and it slides out on the e60.

It's a massive pain in the arse getting those headlamps out. I've done it on numerous occasions on my E60. Even with the 4 bolts removed, there isn't the clearance to take the unit out cleanly. You have to remove the inner-most unit back cover and undo that metal protrusion and swivel that round. Even then you have to get ugly with it and risk bending or breaking bits. Terrible design.

It's not a terrible design it's done on purpose so you have to take the car to the dealer.

@@E28Source I did. You asked why the dislikes. You didn't show how to do it from the beginning. You started rolling in the middle of it. People should watch you put it back together and figure it out for themselves? Ok, but that's not going to get you likes. Just being honest. If you did it from the beginning and showed exactly what you were doing, tools used, etc., the video title would fit.
