How to remove chrome the easy way 

Yeah, easy if you have a setup like Walter White in your garage lol

"the easy way" own a 25 litre chrome stripping tank.

I just go to control panel>remove programs, select Chrome, then click Remove. XD

Thanks for the great video. I have a question. If I do this proces (like you do) and remove the chrome, then the chrome goes to the anode. If I would swap the + and - after a while, the chrome would go back to the original place on the item, would it not? I ask this because I have a chrome pipe with pits in it. After swapping the + and - the chrome should go back to this pipe and the pits should be gone. Or do I make a mistake?

Hi i have chrome plated parts on my car, I am thinking about removing and then plating black chrome to darken the cars details. With this can i simply remove and then go straight to plating the black chrome? I thought I was going to have to remove and the go through the three plating stages as i understand it with polishing etc. If so does this mean my part is already polished and just needs the final layer plated and happy days?

So just tell the top layer would need to be removed in order to powder coat. Sandblast the nickel? Are all chrome parts chrome, nickel, copper layers?

You must explain the step by step to the noobs like myself. What kind of solution you are dipping into? Is the part to be stripped on the Anode or Cathode? What is the device you are using for the electrolysis (model number)? etc...

I'll have to agree with a lot of the comments, not much information in this clip! what's in the tank? what's the chemical? what's needed to generate the current? what's the nature of the tank? plastic? metal? what surface are you left with? what's the next move to top coat finished product? nothing in there that tell me how I could strip flaky chrome off metal parts? does this work on aluminium? steel? brass? is it ready for polishing? powder coating? painting? by the look of it, it needs a fair bit of professional equipment, much more than a DIYer would be able to get his hands on or have at home. all it tells me is, "take it to a professional outfit and pay for it to have it done" sit back & enjoy a beer listening to music you actually like.

Get a bigger tub and get some bumper and wheels going and make some $$$$
