In this video I am going to share with you how I remove Dents where no major damage to the clear coat or the base coat has occured. This kit will work on small, medium and large shallow or deep dents that have not damaged the metal too severely. No power tools necessary just some elbow grease and sounds from the gut.
Here are links to products which were used in this video:

Good video. great content. It is good to show tries with marginal success, as this is reality for most of us at home. I have been watching PDR videos constantly for a year now, and it is a lot harder than it looks, for sure. most successful guys use a combination of everything in the kit at the same time (and make it look easy)

Video is really good. I’ve had really good luck fixing dents, including a nasty one that was on an inconvenient edge. The key is to he patient and don’t be discouraged if you don’t see results right away. My most bothersome dent took about 30 tries but I eventually got it to about 95% perfect. Also, preheating the metal with a heat gun really helps.

Great video; your viewers learn from your mistakes. If you had removed the lock mechanism from the door edge and/or the exterior door handle, you might have been able to get behind the body line and push the dent out with your new tools. You were leaning toward buying a replacement door anyway, so you really had nothing to lose, and could have educated your viewers even more. Thanks again.

Seeing something done that looks easy does not mean it is easily done. the PDR light training alone takes time to learn and to use those rods as well. Bodywork and PDR is an art as in craft not learned in a couple of sessions. I see many people do more damage trying to fix the dents on their car making it look worst to a point that when they give up and decide to take it to a professional it cost them more money to fix. My advice is to get it fixed by someone who has experience that works for himself.

This shows you exactly why this process is to be left to the hands of highly skilled PDR technicians! Any paint missing, heavy scratches, folds in the metal or damage right on the edge of the panel are signs of damage that may not be fixable Paint-less. You can pull paint faster than you can blink and over stretch the metal outwards, making the damage worst and possibly creating a none fixable oil can effect that will require to replace the panel. If you care for your car, be cautious and think about it twice!

Ur right, practice at the junk yard till ur good, easy to try and do it, and make it so even a pro cant save it.. alot of that stuff in this kit is bs junk too. I watch the guy that does them at work, hundreds of times, he let me try a dent on my desk, nope golfball after i was done. But its a skill i would definatly love to learn.
@numbnutsAU
@numbnutsAU 5 лет назад
+1 seen plenty of DIY PDR efforts on youtube to know that this is best left to the pros. had PDR done on my car by a pro and the end result is flawless - you cannot tell there was ever a dent there. it is not worth trying to do it yourself in the hope of getting a perfect result.
@MrMOGHammer
@MrMOGHammer Год назад
@@numbnutsAU of course if your car is almost new it’s better to leave it to a pro but if not the only way to learn and get decent is to do it yourself watching pros do it on RU-vid. Plenty of stuff I get good at just by watching how to do it on RU-vid

This was a helpful video. What you can't do with a PDR is as important as what you can do with a PDR. However, you should have tried from the inside by removing the door panel. I think you could have gotten much farther.

Interesting video... But you forgot the most important ingredient, my dude. ...a Heat Gun. Heat makes the metal more pliable and prevents damage to the paint. Tough to work with cold sheet metal. But you did verify that it's strong at room temps. Just don't overheat or you'll warp the metal and damage your paint. Also, there are plenty of PDR YT channels to give tops on the tough jobs.

You better taking off door panel and tap the dent out from inside the door..... Remember when metal is heated up and pressed it has memory and should return into its pressed state...
@lubbockdentrepair
@lubbockdentrepair Год назад
“Tap the dent out” how? Just take it to a shop and no car metal does not have memory you can get kinks and lows out with heat and cold glue or hot glue but it doesn’t and won’t return. I fix dents all the time that are big and they “oil can” from stretching and moving and all memory is gone. There is hardly any memory whatsoever
