TWO YEAR UPDATE: 1: why de-badge? I prefer the clean look and I could care less what model people think I have. People can call it a Corolla if they want. 2: If you follow my channel, you know I wouldn't add an M badge. That's lame as hell
Justin Buice fake M3 badge is lame, i agree. But some BMW’s have M badges on the side of the car, original from factory. Nothing wrong with that right?
@@alainschreuder If it's from the factory I dont see anything wrong with it. I mean people buying $5 M3 badges from eBay to try to stunt on everyone lol
Def nice cleaner look. Dont worry about the haters man, they have 10 year old M series and one pay check away or engine failure away from food stamps and the metro line.
I have a black BMW also and just recently debadged my trunk emblems. It looks super clean with the 5% window tint. I am now ready to traffic drugs throughout the city. Thanks.
Thank you for this! You never know who's going to stumble across a vid years later. I've been afraid to try this on my 21 year old e39 worrying there were pins that would snap off or worse, that the paint underneath would be discolored but it wasn't. Most importantly, this was the LAST piece of chrome on the car. It looks so clean now and took about 2 mins (then another hour to get the residue off but still!)
Exactly lol It's a 330 so he should be proud to have it, it's not like a 316i or even 325i. It's not like removing it will make people think it's an M3 or something.
I just think it looks more clean that way. I'm not really sure how impressive a 330 badge is anyway when you can pick one up used for under $15k now. Maybe a 335i badge I would have kept it on lol
I didn't find it helpful as this is something I wouldn't do. But I'm gonna give you a HUGE thumbs up just because you speak well, are concise, and every other word isn't, "umm", "it's like", "I'm all", or "you know". I wish more kids, let alone nitwit adults, could convey their thoughts and ideas as well as you. Cheers.
Thanks, this is helpful. I have a Nissan 370Z and had to have the rear bumper and rear hatch repainted, so I told the body shop not to replace the stock 370Z and Nissan hamburger badges. The car looks very nice in a clean condition, it's an all-black car. I'm going to apply a single blacked out script Z in place of the Nissan hamburger, since there is an indentation on the bumper that requires something to fill it. I'm going to do the same thing on the front with the stock Nissan hamburger emblem and replace it with a single glossy black Z.
Looks good man. It’s all about personal preference. Glad you didn’t stick that M badge on there. I could have added an IPL or S to my G37 but I’m not that lame. Haha. I hate chrome and hate having to dig out the wax and polish from the badges so I took them all off. Looks nicer and much easier to wax and polish now.
Hey man thx 👍 for this easy step by step process , . After much debating myself, I you tube one video on how too... & It worked it's like it never was there.
I just wanted to say that I really like these videos and I'm hoping all the best for you and the future of your channel! These videos help me out a lot, since I'm most likely buying a 2004 330d next weekend, if the car is in pristine condition :)
Yeah! I've been driving it for two months now, 6000km (3800 miles) and zero problems. I absolutely love it, would recommend for anyone that wants to enjoy driving to its fullest whilst having a ridiculously low fuel consumption. I've been getting about 6l/100km in TOWN (40 mpg). And I don't spare the gas pedal.
Nothing New here doing that for decades but you need to heat them up with a hairdryer first so the glue comes off too at same time when using the string
Goo Gone will remove the emblems and the glue all in one go. I just squirt alittle Goo Gone on the badges and wait 2 or 3 minutes and they just pop right off and then you can simply wipe away any glue left behind.
2.0 Lyf Pop just go to any autoparts store or walmart bro and just look for the one from meguiar’s that’s safe on paint and man this stuff works on ANYTHING. Just re apply a new wax layer when ur done and it’ll be perfect.
+Patrick Fletcher that's hilarious but good for you. I like the look of the e90 and the modern features of it, however the e46 is timeless and just gives off an amazing impression. I'll let you know what I decide eventually! Thanks
Looks cool but idk seems like your giving a reason for cops to pull you over . I don't think I've ever actually seen any car with the model emblems removed on purpose like this . Maybe emblems that were blacked out or light up or reflective colors but thats about it 🤔
I debadged my car, removed the glue and the paint came off with the glue... Now it just says Peugeot in white -.- Is there a way to fix this without having to paint?
Dude you had me up until DEGREASER!! That shit will lift the paint off your car. In time that spot will lose its color. Maybe just soap will do bro lol
+babyboynuni X1 ive never heard of that happening. It didnt do anything to that spot and this was 6 months ago. I'll have to keep an eye on it now that you said something lol
