You're welcome, I wish I had seen this before I started my job. I think I spent hours trying to figure out how to get this hose off that was supposed to take 2 seconds to get off. So once I figured it out I decided to post it for folks like you. Thanks for the kind words and I hope you'll find other useful videos on my channel. Best Wishes & Blessings. Keith Noneya

Glad the video helped. When I ran into this I was totally stumped on how to get the line off, or at least I wanted to explore other options before I used a wrench. So I made the video for folks like you. Thanks for watching. Best Wishes and Blessings. Keith Noneya

What was the small metal ring part number and Jobber used to replace the quick-disconnect Disconnect-- or did you just repair your existing one (Quick Release Slides)

It's part of the Hose or the coupler. I'm sure the manufacture knows, but there's no parts breakdown for either. You can buy the Hose and the Coupler at RiffRaff. Here www.riffraffdiesel.com/hpop-related-1/ Hope that helps point you in the right direction. Best Wishes & Blessings. Keith Noneya

Had that happen on the road. Thankfully it was raining to notice oil sheen on water under truck. You lose oil quickly. Pulled over to add oil and a guy stopped and between us we figured it out. Gotta get that tool tho

I've noticed that the tool only works once or twice on the same coupler then you have to really work hard to get it off or use the wrench. Then once off to re-use it you have to bend the internal tabs to use the tool on that coupler again. So keep the wrench/s needed to pull the line off if the tool doesn't work. I also now keep the small coupler that the hose plugs into because the O-Ring inside them seems to be the part that leaks more often than not. When putting it back together RiffRaff doesn't recommend that you reinstall the spring and plunger as they are not needed. The original reason for the plungers were International thought the plungers would stop any harmonic pulsing in the lines from the Injectors going on and off. This turned out to not be the case and all the new RiffRaff lines don't have spring and plungers in them. I've since installed new RiffRaff lines and they don't have the plungers and the engine runs just fine. Thanks for the comment and glad you got it figured out. Best Wishes & Blessings. Keith Noneya

Glad to help, you can change just the coupler if it leaks, if the hose is good, or just change the hose that's bad. RiffRaff has them. I think I put the link in the description. Thanks for watching and I hope you get it fixed to your liking. Best Wishes & Blessings. Keith Noneya

Hi Keith, I know you from fb. I just installed a new oem hpop on my 2002 7.3 and had my torque wrench adjusted wrong and stripped out a line fitting. The hpop is brand new and I can't afford another one. I'm probably going to hellicoil the stripped fitting. I just want your thoughts. Tia

I don't think Heli Coil could work to make sure I'd put some JB Weld on the threads when you install it. If it doesn't work you'll have to tap a larger hole and insert an aluminum rod with the correct threads in it. I would try the heli Coil 1st with JB Weld. Make the threads slightly lower that top of the surface so the seal will be below the top, otherwise or the Heli Coil threads may leak. Let me know how it does. Thanks for watching. @@keithnoneya appreciate the input. Not 100% on what route I'll do yet. But I've got to try something. Ty for your reply.
