So very glad you do what you do. Always feel a little lost and intimidated when working on these, and seeing you guys figure it out first makes life much much easier. Thank you from across the pond !
Bought leather seats for my disco 3 , but my old seats were just basic non electric , thought new ones would just plug in lol , thought I would have to resell them , but found these guys on you tube , followed there detailed guide and I have power seats now so thanks guys bless you
Brilliant video. I needed to replace the power seat control module on my LR3 and found your video super helpful in loosening the seat so I could get to the connectors.
Great video again guys, if you disconnect the battery on a Discovery 3 do you lose all the settings in the memory ? Because when I had a new battery fitted at the garage they had to plug a machine into the port were you plugged in the GAP IID TOOL before they changed the battery’s over. Can you advise me please the best way to do this. Thank you again for all of your help. Regards Chris
Dear Simon, I’ve got a 2008 range rover sport and the drivers seat has gone funky. It was put all the way forward, but when I attempt to move it backwards, the outer portion moves, but the inner does not, so it goes crooked and the motor sounds odd? Every other function operates properly. Seat up and down. Recline back and forth. Any advice before I remove the seat and tear into anything would be GREATLY appreciated. 🙏
@@L663 THANK YOU for the response! I’ve unbolted the seat and tipped it back, and can see the little motor in question, and both little cables that are protruding from either end of the motor are spinning, however only one rail moves? Is there a little gear or something those little cables are inserted into? Looks like a huge seat teardown to explore much further?
@@L663 My apologies. I know it’s late there, but I wanted to let anyone watching with this same problem know that I finally found the culprit. I removed the seat and took off the rails and the gear inside one rail is shot. The other you can spin the cable with a drill and it moves great, but this one just spins and won’t move at all. Looking for a rail now, I suppose. 😔👍

Hi Guys, Videos are great. Need some help and google has not found my answer. I have a 2009 Range Rover Sport. Drivers seat has a clicking noise. I think I need to remove the seat switch. Is there a way to remove this switch without removing the seat?
Hi, I have an 2006 LR3 HSE (USA) and found a set of 2009 LR3 Seats online, will these be plug and play? I saw that the seat belt pretensioner was different and needs to be swapped. Is that all that has to be done? My 06 seats are ripped. Just want to make sure all functions like power and heated seats will work with no issue and also if Airbag light will come on. Thank you!
I think you will be OK - there will be some fiddling about needed but Land Rover did not change that much.... why would they as it cost them money to make changes to the wiring etc.
You can always tell a family discovery, they are minging. Ask me how I know. We have a D4, with an airbag error “B0022 left curtain deployment control 2”. Any ideas? Is this likely to be a loose connection under the seat? Thanks
