There are two fitting types for the inlet on the 2005 Escalade. One if you have rear heat/AC and one if you don't. Mine has rear heat / AC and the NAPA fitting number is 790-4945. I had to soak the fitting in hot water and I used dielectric grease on the o-rings as it does not want to slide on easily when cold and dry. Thanks to ZACPAC for NAPA info.
No they are not the same size. I had trouble finding the white (inlet) aftermarket part so I found an oem. If you try to use a dorman brand on inlet side make sure its smaller than the one on the left.
My heater core was already unhooked and bypassed. from what i remember neither spilled a bunch out though. i started it with the hose unhooked on one end to help purge the air out so i didn’t get a bunch of air in the system.
