❤ I searched how to change the headlamp. You showed me that in great detail. Many thanks. Obviously removing the headlamp means having to remove the bulbs too so you included this in the title. Seems a lot of people didn’t get that the first thing in the title of your video was how to change a headlamp. Hey ho.
We had a look at this video (and the one on how to remove the bumper) then went out to the car where my girlfriend changed the bulb in about one minute without dismantling anything at all. Small fingers was no requirement as far as I could tell but she did use my phone's selfie mode as a mirror to locate the clips.
I don't understand why half the car had to be dismantled to change a bulb!!! I have just changed the passenger side headlight bulb on my daughters Citroen C1. I just pulled the connector off, removed the rubber seal, undid the clip holding the bulb, removed the bulb and my daughter fitted it all back together. All done in less than five minutes.
Certainly it is possible if one has small smart palms and fingers, thought it is still hard on the battery side. Anyway this video mainly shows how to remove the headlight.
Today I replaced both front head lights without dismantling the bumper or the headlight casings. It was very fiddly work and took about 20-30 minutes. But it can be done.
Could you come and replace my offside headlamp bulb on Toyota Aygo? I tried what you did but couldn't release the bulb retaining clip so put connector back on then trimmed down main beam for emergency use as it was the 55W dipped filament that was blown. May have another look tomorrow, without any 'John Cleese' moments or clicking wrists this time. Thanks
pete wright I managed to remove the bulb retaining clip by feel you can't see much, the clip slides to one side. On my daughters C1 the release clip was on the top I could see the hinge on the bottom of the light. It's a bit fiddly and you have to work by feel but it can be done.
Bugsy Gedlek Aye thanks fella. Managed the retaining clip this afternoon on a cold drafty car park, even found a replacement bulb in my late Fathers workshop. The video, your comment and hot coffee helped tremendously. Nice one.
Haha, I know. It was just as you did it I panicked a bit XD Thanks for the video, taking the cluster off gave a good view. Those damn clips are a pain.
2010 citroen c1, is the battery on the driver side or passenger? Bulb change on the driver side later today, wondering if removing the bumper and headlight is actually necessary?
Ja zmieniam żarówki bez demontażu klosza. Ostatnio pojawił się problem... Mam takie dziwne linie na słupie światła... Co jest denerwujące jak się dużo jeździ wieczorami... Co mogę z tym zrobić?
Part of this video is to show you how to remove the headlight. The other part is how to change the bulb. Probably should have shown how to remove the bumper as well..
Overkill or what? All that is required to change the bulb on this exceptionally economical little car is a small make-up mirror, for which to see where the clip is so you know what you are poking at. Once you have identified it, it will not really matter if you have hands like Jeff Dabes to unclip it...well maybe Jeff Dabes is over-kill on my part, but you know what I'm getting at?
I think you’ll find the video was a tutorial on both how to remove the headlamp, which is what I wanted to know, but while it was off he chose to show how to change the bulb too. Two tutorials in one. 👍 Lots of others on just changing a bulb.
