I have a question, please? I have a 2003 Audi a4 b6 with a headlight that squeals like it has a demented budgie stuck inside it, so I thought it was my headlamp adjustment motor that was my issue, but when I took that unit apart, fixed its brushes and cleaned it, I then discovered that the motor just spins constantly when connecting it and turning the ignition on, and that has been the problem all along. I only discovered this because I removed the motor from the cogs inside the unit and ran it independently inside the headlight. It had actually jammed the cogs inside of the unit because it was just spinning all of the time in one direction without stopping, it had made a real mess inside the motor. Do you think that this issue is caused by a faulty range control module? Have you come across this problem before? Anyone else, too? I have no warnings on my dash, or fault codes. I'm now thinking that that is what I need to replace. If you can advise that would be amazingly helpful! Thank you in advance for your time replying. It's driving me crazy! Stay safe and well!
Hi! this module controls to all headlights bulbs? I mean in my car (2008 TT) the xenon headlights and the motors of the adaptative lights works well, but the DRL doesn´t work. TKS!
Could you please show how to remove vw passat b8(saloon car-sedan) cargo cover removal? There is no video about it. And no one knows how to remove the side panels and reach the cargo cover.thanks.
Hi mate, I have a problem with the headlight range control in my a3. I’ve replaced the level sensor and still getting the headlight range control defective message. Would I need to change this to solve my problem? Any advice much appreciated
Is the location similar on a c5 allroad? The module is bad and is preventing me from deactivating traction control since its tied to the airride system.
When receiving the warning light on the dash, how do you know its the automatic leveling module or the lights themselves? My son just bought a 2005 A4 and i'm new to the brand. Thank you for any insight you may have.
Hey there! That's where a decent diagnostics package (such as VCDS) is wirth it's weight in gold to be fair. You can of course manually watch the headlights self-levelling to ensure that the motors and mechanism in the headlights seem to be working ok. That's not a guarantee, but a good indicator to get things started. If the levelling is totally inoperable it makes it a little trickier! Remember as well that there are level sensors for the headlight levelling on the front and rear suspension which can also cause issue. It might sound stupid, but it might be worth disconnecting your battery for 10 minutes and reconnecting to reset the system, that has occasionally fixed this warning light! @@TotalTechnik Thank you for the information, I just happened to look at the lights last night and didn't notice any movement. Time to make an appointment and have it scanned. Thanks again.
Hey there! Unfortunately we are not covering the S5/A5 platform just yet. We are hoping to be able to expand Total Technik to cover additional models, but it's not a cheap undertaking and our expansion will be solely reliant on the support we receive from our viewers. Hopefully we can cover that model in the not-too-distant future! --- To help support us (for both you and others reading this) there are a few things you can do: 1) Donations both needed and welcome! Thank you for doing what you do for us. I understand it is not cheap, just like it is not cheap to have dealerships work on our Audi's, so we rely on good people such as yourself to show us where parts are located and how to fix them. Thank You!!

Is it the airbag light? Yes, quite a common issue on the C5 platform, and other models too. But one that should really be fixed as it throws up safety concerns. Definitely not to be ignored.
