My lower bolt sheared off took ages to drill out which destroyed all the threads, my plan is to fit a bolt from the other side and resin it in place and then put the nut on this exterior side.

looks easy enough to install that exhaust gasket when the motors out but when the motor is in it's very, very difficult on the ground. I guess you could raise the scooter but us home mechanics we don't typically have a lift. Any suggestions?

Hey what's good Robot!? I was wondering... does a bad muffler gasket produces compression pressure leakage?

I replaced the gasket and I smell a bit of burning oil/grease now. Wondering if it will burn off or if I should pull the exhaust off, clean everything, and reinstall with a fresh gasket?

Does barbeque paint work to redo the muffler appearance?

9:20 could you explain "sprung" and "unsprung"? I'd expect "sprung" weight to be subject to less vibration than "unsprung" weight, and that a scooter muffler is subject to vibration, being unsprung. I think you're saying the opposite here.

It's hard if you can't get under your vespa. You need a lift. I struggled for a long time fighting the flange connection to the header. Got it on and of course I have a leak. Sputter sputter. I might have lost the gasket as I remember something on the driveway gold metallic looking. The bolts are a bit stripped looking so best to replace them along with a new gasket.
