Man, thank you for documenting every step to this. I need to remove my front bumper, so I can remove the grill to paint the chrome surround gloss black, and this is exactly what I needed.

Those torx are t-30 not t-27. At least on my Ghibli. I thought they were T 27 at first, but the t-30 fits snug with no slack. Thanks for the video it helped me out.

where can I find information on wether or not I can swap my 17 front bumper to 19 front bumper? would I have to upgrade fenders and hood to 19 or?

Great video man, I’m in the same situation. One of the side tabs is broken so it’s out a little but I don’t plan on fixing it. Only I can tell LOL

Thanks man! Yeah, it broken for me on both sides. Lol...yeah I’m sure most people can’t tell. But it’s one of those things...one you see it you can’t un-see it. 🤷🏽‍♂️

DriveTalkCars How did your tabs break? Mine broke because someone hit it on the side and broke the tabs on it.

Before I started doing my own work on the Maserati we took it to a shop to have the headlight bulbs replaced. And that’s where it was broken. They didn’t even tell us. And it was $700 for the service. Things like that is why I started doing my own DIY services on my cars and started my channel.

DriveTalkCars Damn that really sucks man, paying good amount of money and they didn’t have the decency to tell you of the mistake they made... From all the cars I’ve owned from new bmw , Mercedes, Audi... This bumper is so delicate , the tabs can easily break it not pulled correctly . If you decide to actually replace the bumper, let me know I’ll buy it, I need one

Yeah, I know right. It is is pretty delicate. Lol...too much for new bumper. I’m going to repair this one. Video coming soon! 👍🏽

Hey it’s me again... Do you have any issues with your coolant reservoir? Mine leaks from the top section.... I read online that it’s very common.. Do you think it’s easy to replace ? The thing that’s tricky are the hose clamps. I’ve never seen hose clamps like the one on the car...

Hey, the only wiring harness I noticed was for the parking sensors. It is one harness that connects all of the front sensors. However, I do believe the newer ghiblis come with an illuminating Maserati logo emblem. So if you have that you may need an additional wiring harness. Checkout this site. They have a nice diagram of the parts for Maserati Ghibli. I use them for majority of my OEM Maserati parts. www.scuderiacarparts.com/part-finder/maserati/ghibli/oe/176/3834/67520

Hey man when you jack up the car on one side where do you put the jack stand exactly before removing the floor jack ?

I actually jack the car up from the rear jack point. This jacks up the front and rear. The. I put the jack stand at the front jack point.

@@DriveTalkCars Oh okay I do the same thing, but I’m always nervous when I jack it up because I have to jack it up a lot in order to get the jack stand in the front and I always feel the car will flip over lol

@@thewiseguy7100 lol...Naw I doubt it would flip. But it is pretty high to jack up. I’m looking to get those hydraulic lifts to make things easier...

@@DriveTalkCars Yeah I’ve owned new Audis BMW etc.. I’m not new to working on cars just because this car is pretty low makes it hard to get it off the ground. I would want to get that too but i don’t have enough space in the garage !

They are really nice! One thing to be mindful of is the parts are not as easy to get and not too many indie shops available. Maserati is pretty tight with their service procedures and parts. But hopefully I can provide info/videos as I get it. Good luck! 👍🏽

How were you able to remove those 6 locked bolts on the top of the bumper

The method I used was to screw them out evenly across all six bolts until they were out.

That’s a great question...🤔. To be honest I don’t know if it would work. It looks like it would though. I think if the connecting points are the same then it should. Maybe the wiring harness for the parking sensors (and other accessories there may be) would be different as well. But that is a good idea. The Gransport has a more aggressive look to it. ...something to consider. Thanks your comment and checking out the channel! 👍🏽

Yeah, I was going to go that route. Then someone mentioned fiberglass so I tried that. If I need to do this job again I will be using plastic welding for sure! Thanks for leaving comment! 👍🏽
