For anyone wondering how to properly dispose of ink! Take it to your local staples or Office Depot. We take ink recycles and dispose of it properly for you! Do not throw it away
Like a Dummy, I went and put the regular in in my new sublimation Printer. I specifically asked the Walmart Electronics rep, if this particular printer did sublimation. She said yes, but failed to tell me not to put the regular ink in it. A friend told me, that I had to purchase a new printer. So i went on here looking for ways to empty the cartridges, thank you!!! Will be doing this today. I'm pretty tech savvy, so I'm confident I can get this one. I want to start sublimating. My sub ink came, and so did my coffee mug heat press and mini press. I'm excited to learn!!! new Sub!!!
I hope you read this before you go and jack your printer up. PLEASE DO NOT PUT SUBLIMATION INK IN THIS PRINTER THINKING YOU ARE ABOUT TO HAVE A SUBLIMATION PRINTER AND DO A BUNCH OF CRAFTS! This thing is not meant for sublimation. Please watch my updated video where I warn people do not do what we did!!!! If you are looking for a full color answer, we sell DTF transfers and have been since 2020. We currently only print on Mimaki DTF printers. Once again, do not! proceed with this printer unless you are using regular ink. Its a great regular ink printer that we still use today because we can buy the regular ink off amazon for super cheap.
I just did the same thing today. I’m so mad. Didn’t even realize it wasn’t sublimation ink. First 4 steps of setting up your printer is adding the ink.. I wish I didn’t add the ink. I’m so upset..
@@jenniferhulliberger1312 Girl, I'm pissed too. The idiot that sold me my printer, i said does the label say SUBLIMATION??? she goes yes, then she failed to tell me not to put the REGULAR in ink. I removed all the regular ink out of my printer. I syphoned it out, and it still doesn't work. I'm a tad bit livid. Have to go by another printer. I 100% totally feel you!!!

My husband said no to a new printer, but he said if i can drain my current epson, i can get the ink.....hmmm🤔 thank you for your help. I am going to get another epson ecotank so i will be keeping the ink to use in it when i get the money to use the ink i pull.
Please help!! I accidently put regular ink into my black ink tank that was about half full of sublimation ink. What is the best solution? I have the Epson ET-2760
This is a super old video and we now sell Mimaki Sublimation printers. The ink mix wont hurt it but you wont be able to do sublimation. We did this when we went back to regular printer ink and use our printer as a normal everyday paper printer. Which we love because ink is sooo cheap on amazon. But if you are looking for full color images for apparel or full color images for accessories, then please check out our more recent videos.

Hello, I have sublimation ink in my 2720 and my question is, will it be the same process if I wanted to change my sublimation ink to eco solvent ink? Thanks in advance
I wouldn't do that because that will damage the printer. If you are looking for a way to make a full color print for apparel check out our more recent videos and our DTF transfers.
Can I just say THANK YOU!!!! here i was thinking i messed the ENTIRE process up but then you should such a simple solution and my printer was saved!!!!!FYI this technique works for the Epson ET 2850 as well. People you dont need a needle to make this work just simply "kiss the syringe and tube together" and it works just fine!!!!!

This is a very old video, we would not suggest doing this. We actually print 22x24 DTF sheets for all of our apparel needs and 22x24" sublimation gang sheets as well for all our sublimation customers. Please take the time and check out some of our most current videos.
My case was tottally different, I change for sublimation ink and they ruin all my t shirts, they look blurry, do you know what is the problem? what kind of papr do you use it? please help!!!!!

lol You still might want to give up this entire process. This ended up not working in the long run and we out regular ink back in this printer. We manufacture DTF transfers now. No longer have a need for sublimation. This video is actually super old. We suggest you check out our more recent content.
Stop messing about ? Takes 5 minutes to change ink ‘ turn ecotank upside down in sink empty old ink put in sublimation ink and then print off some a4 to use up in in cartridge ?… job done 5 minutes regards colin
I made the mistake of adding the regular ink. However, I removed it and converted it to sublimation. I ran a ton over 100 sheets, and my sublimation still does not transfer. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I have sublimation mugs and tumblers. I have the sublimation paper. Do you have any idea what the problem could be? I emptied as much as I could.

@@lesliebriner7579 you have to get the air our of the lines !! It worked for me. Hook your syringe up to the end you didn't suck from and just start sucking air out with it. .. it will eventually start pulling ink ! I hope this helps you ❣️
Hello. I have a problem with the ET 2814 printer. At the same time, 4 lights flash, namely the power button, the lower wifi light and both ink lights. When I plug the printer directly into the socket, the printer turns on automatically, the power button does not work because when I press it, the printer will not turn off. I am asking for help.
My 2720 went out and it is full of ink, Thank you for the video I can now remove the ink and place in the new printer once its comes in. Your video was so clear and easy to understand. i will also be going to the FCD site
I got a clog or something it didn't work awhile after a power outage, then had to redo install, it's working then we replaced ink and stopped printing. I don't see color on the front and it prints now but very light. Do you think the printer would work for something else?
I just did this whole process over 2 hours ago and the new ink is not filling up into the cartridges… ive done all the nozzle cleaning, head cleaning like 6 times now, printed out over 12 pieces of paper and still nothing….. any suggestions?

I just swapped inks and printed a few things to drain the rest of the ink, tried to sublimate and it wouldnt transfer.. i assume i dont have all.of the ink out? What now?
😒I wish I saw this video before I purchased a new printer. Ordered a 2720 on Amazon but was sent a 2800. They refunded me $20 . I am not happy have not used it yet . I pray it works well for sublimation.

Soo! I’m devastated. I did this, and then saw another video that said we shouldn’t do this, after I’ve already done it. My printer now had an error saying scanner epson et 4700 scanner error 10077. I cannot get passed this error and I do not know what to do! Can someone tag me in the new video? Or provide any assistance?

I just took my printer out the box and put the original ink by mistake I haven’t done anything with it bebidas filling it with the wrong ink do I have to do all these steps ?

Hi I only put a little of epson ink in the cyan sublimation will it make a difference will I have to drain it I haven't run it yet only to set it up. Please help not even done any sub blanks on this machine, I felt sick after I have done it.

I tried and when my printer opened it has an additional cover over the ink. epson must have made a newer model in the last couple months? good tip though! ill have to keep researching lol LOVE all your videos though

Old video, don’t ditch it. Just use it for regular printing. I still have mine but we use our 24” sublimation printer for our gangsheets to provide to customers like yourself for only $14.99 if it fits we print!
Oh wow. In that case you might need to run the cleaning solution through the cartridges. Kinda clean out all the tubes, something must of got clogged in between changing the sublimation inks.

Question 🙋🏼♀️ I did like many others and bought the printer and put the ink that came with it in the printer thinking it was sublimation ink so I ordered sublimation ink. My question is do you know the size of the syringe because I would like to not have to buy the kit seeing how I already have the sublimation ink.

Well I have tons of blanks. All sorts. I’ve spent the money on this new printer (a little under $400) and I just got my Tumblr heat press in the mail yesterday (also a little under $400) so I just ordered some syringes off Amazon and I’m going to do my best to convert it. Personal use. Newbie but I most definitely will check yawls website out for other items. I personally know how important it is for customers support so I am all about supporting small businesses. You said in one of your videos that your shop is in Texas. May I ask what town? I am in Texas as well. Would be awesome if y’all were close enough to come by your shop.
@@terriboone2316 We are in Houston but our warehouse is in Katy. It’s not available to have customers come in. The store we did have in cypress is not gone. In regards to your converted printer i personally suggest it because it breaks the printer. Hence why we have videos talking about how we moved forward with a large true sublimation printer(we have a video of that). Those printers aren’t designed to print sublimation. If you have printer ink in yours then just leave it. Our rosin 2720 printer is 100% used for printing customer Heat press instructions. I hope this helps

I just called Epson tech support part warranty my printer. Lady told me say if sublimation ink will not work any Epson design then will void. Which my warranty no good like damage. Internet lied!!! Which means waste my money to toss in trash! Bought to last march on 7 months old and warranty for 2 years. Then Why internet said Epson printer will work any sublimation ink. I guess sublimation ink dirty business!!!!! I going to toss Epson ET 2803 printer in trash can! Thanks alot to internet and Amazon both said will work. Why internet said Epson printer will work any sublimation ink. Lock arms can’t open lid for clogged cleaner! Because color hippo ink don’t match colors! Thank a lot ruining my warranty!

I’m going to upgrade my printer like this but it’s filled with sublimation ink. Is it not possible to reverse this and remove the sub ink and repurpose to inkjet?

Yea to be honest my wife doesn’t even use the sublimation printer. We keep it because it’s awesome for regular paper and the ink is sooooo cheap! She uses vinyl and DTG transfers
