You can hold the window and then clip the cables that run it up and down. Then when you get it into position, put a small set of vice grips on the track to hold the window in place. My window was down and I had to cup the cables and raise it up and Vice grip it up while my parts came in. Once my parts came in I released the Vice grips and put the window in the same location he did and took it off the track then taped it up. You may can lift it up or down without cutting it, I don’t know.
