This was so helpful, I got the replacement part form Amazon for 30 bucks, did it myself and it works, mechanic was telling me we had to switch the whole seat and wanted to charge me a lot more
That’s amazing. Thanks very much for the video, worked perfectly. Should have done this a while ago!! Quoted for an entire new seat / solved with a $30 part. Thanks again!!
Thank you so much. I'm not very mechanically inclined but you made it look so easy I decided why not. It was as easy and you made it appear. No telling how much money I saved over going to the dealer. Thank you again.
Great Video. It literally took me 3 minutes to install this on my 2013 Edge. It was easier and faster than changing a light bulb. Thank You so much. Dealership wanted $500 to install this $28 part, which is freaking crazy. Also, thanks for putting the link for the $7 Pry Bar Kit up, I will get a lot of use out of it.
Saving this for later. My 2014 Cmax’s power seat stopped working (only the recliner in one direction; it goes down but won’t come back up). Since the other functions work, I suspect it’s the switch that isn’t working, and I’m guessing it’s located in the same spot as the Edge. Thanks!
The passenger seat switch that is linked on that listing does not fit for a passenger seat on a 2011 ford edge sport. I didn’t realize it until I got the old switch out and it was much smaller. However I reconnected it and it is fully functioning (for now) and I just won’t allow anyone to move it just in case 😂 thank you for this video though because now the seat usable again as it was stuck too close to the airbag for anyone to sit there 😊
Quick, easy video. Thank you. My buddy just bought one. All the switches work on the seat. It reclined back but will not come back up. Do you think that may be the switch. I didn't think the motor since it works reclining it. I'd appreciate you're help if you don't mind answering this.
Question? I have a 2011 Lincoln mkx, and I keep blowing a fuse for the driver side power seat. Does that mean the switch is bad, or I have a wire in the seat area that may be grounding out and blowing the fuse?
I’m literally going this right now with my Nissan Murano SL the seat will lean back and not back up. Everyone kept telling me to go get a brand new seat or it had to be the chair motor
