YOOO DAWWWGGGG. I meant to send you a message on Snapchat and say I used your trick today pulling out 12 shrubs. Made $300 in an hour, pulled out and loaded up. Ez pz. I use a chain around the shrub and then a rope to the truck hitch. Works well.

Dear internet land-scraping gang. boring bit alert: be careful when doing this method as roots can grow around pipes, drains and cables and ya dont wanna pull on them too hard. esp in front garden as that's where most of the services are located.

Have used a similar technique for many years on the farm. We don't use carabiner, instead we use a lifting strap that is a complete loop rated at 6000 lbs. That way the strap can pass thru itself and cinch down on the shrub or tree. We also use chains and shackles, not ropes.

But even if I did I wouldn't use it due to the yard and marking up the driveway possible hydraulic leaks. Theres time to use equipment and sometimes it's best not to. Thanks Keith 🏴‍☠️

Guess I’ll be “that guy” and throw my two cents in. Fine doing it that way, and awesome vid for showing how to pull them out. If i had multiple bushes I’d cut them fairly flush with a chainsaw, rent a small stump grinder , which will grind those shrubs completely out and even till the soil if you are planting. Always verify under ground utilities etc, but that’s how we do it. Grinder usually $100 $150 a day, just cover it or most of it in the bid. Faster and helluva lot easier. Good vid though ✌️

Kalfas, what do you do when you have bushes in a small backyard? Get an engine hoist! Yesterday I pulled out 50 barberry and junipers by myself with a $200 engine hoist and $35 chain. There's minimal soil disturbance, i didn't leave any ruts in the yard, and it easily pulls up the root ball and all. I charged $50 per bush and the customer was thrilled.
