This video will show you how to remove one page number from a multi-page word document. You can remove page number, for example page 13 and not lose all previous page numbers or the pages afterwards.
I was struggling with this issue and watched so many videos but no video was being able to solve it. Finally I found this video. Thank you so much. You helped a lot to save my project report. Best wishes.
Thanks a lot... Tried it first time with much haste but didn't get it... scrolled down and wondered why others did... Saw your encouragement to pay more attention and it worked!! Problem was trying to remove the number on the first page as I wanted to use it as a cover... After making the break, I tried to follow the above instruction ON THE FIRST PAGE but couldn't cos the LINK TO PREVIOUS tab was locked... Poor me did not know the first page shouldnt have a previous page... Had to unlink the second from the first and then deleted the first... THANKS AGAIN... This is for those that may have same problem and think it doesn't work...
+Chisom Enyioko Thank you for your comment, I'm sure this will be helpful for others. I know there are quite a few steps and it's easy to miss one. But, I'm glad it worked out for you =)
thank you very much :) but i found that if combine this way with click the "different first page" in the design in heater & footer tools, then will more eazy, the continious pages will still remain without to delate it first
Most helpful video, ever! Thank you very much, I feel blessed that I have found your video because I have tried a lot of other guidelines and all unsuccessfully. So, thank you for this, now I can sleep easily today! My thesis can now go forward! :D
It says, "Would you like to delete this header/footer and connect to the previous section?" It doesn't matter if I click yes or no, it just deletes all of my previous pages. If I try just double clicking the footer, the 'link to previous' button is gray, and I can't click it. It also jumps back mid-document and starts a new page count from there (Example: page 345, page 346, page 0, page one...) I don't think it would be the version that I'm using, because the application layout is the same as yours. Is there anything else that could work to remove page numbers at the end of my document?
no problem, glad it helped. I don't reply with a comment to everyone but I do respond with a thumbs up. We are all brothers and sisters, we may have different shades and colors, but we come from the same. Have a blessed day my brother =)
I blows my mind that Word, after all these years, hasn't figured out that people might need to modify their page numbers, and makes you go through the ringer just to delete a single page number. Thank you for the tutorial, but it's a shame it's necessary we have to trouble-shoot bad programming.
Make sure do click in the body of the page. If you click in the header or footer that might cause it to be greyed out. You might want to try the less technical method ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KaGq5IvAW6g.html
