Even though impeller was recessed within volute, my oil filter wrench grabbed impeller nicely. It grabbed both edges equally to prevent damage..

I couldn't jam the impeller with a pry bar since i had a larger gap.i used 3 zip ties all the way through the middle of the impeller and looped them through a large handle, i used a large adjustable wrench in the zip ties. Then I twisted the impeller till the wrench was touching the floor and stopped the impeller from moving and used the rear screw to turn the motor loose from the impeller.

I have this exact same pump, my impeller broke and can't find a replacement lol anyone use a newer style that fits? Or does anyone have a part # or something? Thanks

You did it too fast. Also I need to know if it unscrews regular or reverse thread. Mine is a hayward 1hp for a spa I'm trying to remove a broken impeller. Broke from metal to plastic.

Thanks for the vid. Not sure what the rant is from smith. Seems to not understand this vid was for one specific piece of information. Also, if you repair things yourself, you understand that sometimes things are NOT repairable, spares are not available or cost more than a new unit, so yeah sometimes that's what a customer is told. It's not a tactic, Moron.
