Dude living in the north east is the worse everything is rust welded, you have to replace parts regularly or spend more money just to properly maintain them, cars go extinct because the frames just rot out
Bro, if I could give you 1000 subs if I could. 2 days of banging with hammers, half a bottle of pbblaster, heat gun, and blow torches but still wouldn't budge. Frozen on for 20 years. But your 20 second video got it off though! I was happy and mad at the same time lol I was like, really????? 😂😂
the bolt pushed my rotor enough to warp it but it wouldn't come off.. one small tap with the hammer while it was under pressure and it popped right off :)
I’m in the process of changing these, but as I’m trying to get my rotor off, it won’t even spin. Should both tires be up off the ground for it to spin, and be easier to come off? I know I’ll have to hammer it off just due to rust. I was going to lift one side of the car at a time but I’m wondering if both sides need to be up.
@@adamjonkie5601 try PB Blaster but make sure you take out the screws that that new cars are now coming with on the rotors. You will need a drive punch screw driver.
Had one that I pounded on with sledge and finally did this trick, I had to put a ton of torque on it then smacked with sledge, and it took of like a rocket and flew about 10 feet. Don't stand in front.
Mine is beyond that trick kinda stuck. It like fused entirely to the hub and it refuses to let go to the point that my 4lbs sledge hammer broke the entire rotor hot friction edge off but the center piece is still stuck on 😂
This will never top a hammer to the back of the rotor. The only time a hammer around 20 or more oz doesn't work, is if theres factory screws on it or if an unlikely event red loctite or hardware metal adhesive was for some reason installed on the hub.
hammer doesn't always work. This actually worked where a hammer failed. you can't exactly swing a sledge ground level in a cramped wheel well and hit it from the back
@madjackgamingandfitness498 yea true anything seize underneath is extremely difficult to remove without a lift. It also helps to have pb blaster to help loosen.
