In this video Brian demonstrates how to remove root-stock suckers from a standard or stem rose.
Suckers form from eyes in the root-stock stem that were not removed properly at planting and can sometimes shoot from the stem after they have been budded, if allowed to continue to grow they will take over your grafted variety so it's good practice to remove them as soon as you can.
