Hi. So do I need to follow these steps to replace my faulty air vent. Also do I need to buy the entire piece you removed which includes the air vent or can I simply replace the air vent unit only? Grateful for your help.

Can anyone point me to directions on re-installation of the dash components? I can get the pieces aligned with the top and the tabs, but never the bottom plastic bit. I'm afraid to push it too forcibly.
