FYI the rivets don’t need to be drilled out from the modules holder. There are clips that can be pried with a screwdriver and pop the module out without drilling
My MKX just started this crap, both my heated and cooled went out at the same time, really hate my lincoln lol. My 23 year old 540i's heated seats work like a charm and much better!
it would be nice if you spent a little more time on the troubleshooting aspect of this project. ie how did you determine that the module is the problem. or is it always the module if the fuses are good?
Hey man, Got a problem with this function, when I press the seat temperature Button nothing happens, I already check the fuse and they are ok… it has something to do with this module??
@@Nickthecarguy already change the control twice and when I push the button nothing happen , not even the lights from that button..might be the module?
My seat is stuck leaning back making driving to & from awkward and uncomfortable, how do i remove the seat, in your video you didn't show how you removed the screws to get the seat out.
@@nehrug9111 i disconnected the battery and removed & put back the fuze, it's in the engine compartment fuze box #32 or #33 connect the battery back & hopefully works for u the way it did for me.
I have an important question If somebody can please answer and help me because I believe I was trying to be scammed! My heated and cooling seats do not work, I took it, in turn, the dealer I bought it from and I had it looked at and they told me I needed a new module and it would cost me about $400 for them to totally fix it! Well I bought the module for $125 and bring it to the shop in which they said they would install and program and come to find out then they said they needed a whole new harness now all a sudden and don't sell a spliced harness in which they do! Probably because I bought the part inwhich they were out some money of the scam and now the harness is bad!!😠Then I look at the old module that they gave back and see that it is obviously the ground wire that burned at the connection itself, Hey Siri no burns components inside it at all and I looked in the component of the module and see that there aren’t any tell-tell signs of it being bad! So basically I am asking if they could have only just run one big ground wire to the to make a big ground to the module to work here, am I correct??? Because I believe they were trying to scam me the whole time or at least halfway scam me and make an easy$300 to $400 By simply running a bigger ground directly to the other side of the ground rather than the harness? I can get some feedback from some people give me some feedback on this so that people do not get scammed out of their money especially when it’s A car that means everything to them and me and only want the honesty and truth so it can’t be fixed or how can I really tell if the module is broke also?! I am open to any opinions or feedback, please anyone?!
