If the switch position is in the same spot then it should be the same. The mirror switch covers a couple years of the Tiguan. I would double check your switch in your vehicle and the website where you purchase the switch from to confirm a match
Unfortunately not - the switch has to removed downward - the plastic molding on the switch prevents it from popping upward and out of the door. Even if you were to remove it - plugging in the new switch would be incredibly difficult.
