First choose the Layer you want to paint then select the Paint Bucket Tool and the Color you want und hit L-Click on the design! Make sure the right Layer is selected

Thanks a lot for this. I've been trying to do this with a Words Only Logo, however, when the fringing happens it changes the actual look of the text font. After I colour on the text with the actual colours the logo then looks weird with thinker text. Please help if you can

Is there a way to export as Vector with no background? Even following these steps but exporting as EPS it has same issue when re-opening (White background)

awesome thank you my only issue is that my logo (like your owl). has 3-4 colors interacting with each other. so using the picker and applying th brush tool is tedious. is there another way on how to get rid of the white with in the images? thanks

It helped on some of my images but i do i isolate a separate white in the image that i don't want to be transparent with the other whites, like say sugar cubes on a plate? I don't want them to be blue etc when i had color to my png later in product printing. Thx

If the logo is white and bg is colored, instead of brushing you can use saturation to desaturate any fringing color and increase lightness so that it doesn't stand out.
This helped so much! I did have a bit of struggle but it worked out in the end! Thank you! Makes my life so much easier. I was worried I'd have to select everything meticuloussly and waste hours of my time.
