Today I going to show you how I removed multiple wrinkles in my pool liner using very simple tools. The tools I used can be picked up from almost any store and include a plunger and water shoes, if you don’t have water shoes you can use soft soled shoes that are clean ! The process takes about ten minute per wrinkle, so I call this how to get wrinkle out of your pool liner in less than ten minutes! I hope this helped you, if it did please subscribe. I’m doing this in a salt water pool but this would work in any pool with a liner, just remember, TAKE your TIME !!!

We assembled our Intex style above ground pool and did not get the liner completely flattened out before water company came to fill and we ended up with six long creases in bottom of the pool. Could we apply the same concept to remove those creases? It is 52 inches in height. Would it be easier to remove some of the water before we try and use the plunger?

Thanks! Discovered a wrinkle yesterday, while using a plunger to remove wrinkle is there a possibility another wrinkle(s) may form?
@FamilyDIYtv
@FamilyDIYtv 2 года назад
Cory - I guess that would be possible but I would say that's why you evaluate where the wrinkle most likely came from before you try to move the liner. Most likely it was pulled away from the wall, but there could be other scenarios depending on your pool. thanks for watching ! -Mike

My inground 16’x32’ pool developed a seam separation on each side of the shallow end steps where the floor meets the wall. For whatever reason the floor vinyl has shifted toward the deep end thus pulling the floor further away from the wall creating more tension on the vinyl material at that juncture. My question is if I can pull the floor vinyl back to the wall to eliminate this pull? I lowered the water level in order to do the two patches. If I refilled the pool up to the bottom of the steps and used a solar cover to warm the water above 90 degrees to promote more stretching, is there a good chance of succeeding in repositioning the floor material all the way up to the wall? I guess all I can do is try. Or would I be better advised to lower the water even more before trying to pull the floor material back into place? Has anyone else ever had this happen?

I have a round 10'x30" above ground Intex and I discovered a sharp edge protruding at the bottom of the pool. It's probably a small rock but I dont want it to break the liner. Is there a way to push that rock back into the dirt without breaking the pool or do I have to drain the pool just because of that rock? Thank you for any help provided

Depends on how close to the wall it is but you could honest to god just get a crowbar and lift the liner up and reach under LMAO
@mikew9788
@mikew9788 2 года назад
That's bad, my intex xtr had the same thing and it ended up making a small hole. Thought it was evaporation before finding the hole. You can patch the intex pool by using pvc cement as they are pvc not vinyl. Don't use a vinyl patch kit. If you can drain it it will come out better. We had a 8 inch gash from a tree trimming company that I patched with the piece of liner I cut out when we installed a skimmer. Repair held for 3 years before we got a bigger pool. It was a permanent repair. Good luck.

Our liner came down and now the sand has moved causing a concave under the liner on the floor of the pool. How can we move the sand under the liner to fill the hole? Thanks

Not smart to drain your pool completely. The liner shrinks and take the risk of tearing it.

Well... I think i might have just learned WHERE or HOW i got wrinkles in my liner. Unfortunately, maybe even too late. I have a lot, maybe around 50 or more. New since openeing this summer. I'm praying this is my problem, and that i dont have a leak in my liner thats causing them. 😬 i showed my adult son this video and told him to stop freaking jumping in the dang pool 😡

when using vacuum you may want to close off that line a bit. sounds like there too much suction.

Neat video but a better question for me is why do you have wrinkles in the first place? Hard to believe people using the pool can create wrinkles. I've seen low pH cause wrinkling or ground water get under the liner and cause them (or wrinkles there from the original installation)

Mine are from people jumping in. Or standing in side playing basketball. Not from ph.

haha - nah just down and back up. i usually blow all the air out of my lungs which allows me to lay down on the bottom of the pool, BUT i can’t stay down there for to long. ha.

For anyone else wondering this, it seems to work BEST with about 6-12 inches of water. The weight of the water pushes the liner down into the sand, holding it in place. A lot of water presses hard on the liner, making it hard to move. With little to no water, there's nothing to keep the liner from moving and wrinkling again.

I’d call a pool liner company- they have these things that suck the liner to the wall. Btw - should never drain a pool. I’d get water back In there asap. Just google can I rai my pool. Unless you have a plug. I hope you have a great weekend ! Mike

Here’s a thought. Something I’ve always done is just threaded a cone fitting down in the skimmer, hooked a vac hose to it and grabbed the wrinkle and pulled it. Easy money.

You told us to slow down relative to working the wrinkles out. Please, take your own advice and slow down the camera movement. It will make your videos so much better. The camera in this video almost never stopped moving. Its hard to focus on anything when it is moving in and out of frame or all over in frame.

It’s as if everyone that is giving this advice got their information from the same source. You value your work more than I do. If you would take an objective view of your work you would see this video is not the best. Stick with static shots if you can’t figure out how to do quality pans, zooms and other camera movement.
