I used to make ballistas out of leaf springs...well, one ballista out of one leaf from the largest spring set. It was easier to attach the cable to the leaf with the curled ends. It launched many rebar rods and broken tool handles (broom handles, shovels, post hole diggers, etc.).

Old school..a few 2x4s and a jack to take the dents out of a roof... a hammer and a bit of bondo..and touch up paint..SAME IDEA 💡, 💡 👍
