Great. I scraped mine today at the boat ramp cuz my dumba$$ forgot to raise the motor. With this vid I’ll be able to get rid of the marks. Thanks much.
I did the same thing , GF actuallt backed boat into wall and broke corner off Hydrofoil. I JB welded it 2 times and sanded and painted , been good for 3 yrs. Thx
OCD here too. Today I scratched my propeller and it was cosmetic, still functional, but like you say, I know is there......I ordered a replacement. The skeg got some almost unnoticeable damage but that will stay like that.
It helps sometimes to wait for it to set up a little before applying. It's a bit more controllable that way. Also, make sure the area is super clean before applying!
Hey, guys! I’m baaaaccckkk!! The military has “gotten in the way” in a significant way the last nine months…😫😫😫 rest assured, we are finally home in Tampa, FL and new, great content is coming back very shortly! Things have finally calmed down for us!
Patriot Fishing and Boating Nice boat and a very nice job on the repair. I am looking to get the same setup as you have just in a 200HP option. what is the top speed with the 225 and do you have any regrets paying a bit more for a 225 rather then the 200 ? Also how does your kicker motor perform? Any issues? Thanks
Hey, brother...thanks, we love it. No regrets at all and very glad we powered to the max...I recommend doing the same. I have a top speed video (51mph). The kicker motor is awesome! We used it all weekend this past weekend on Lake Erie...we were trolling for walleye...in very big waves! Performed awesome. Starts and runs quiet and smooth.
Shawn Hoffmaster ... Hey, Shawn!! Kiss you, Bro! Unfortunately, NO ONE makes a Skeg shield or keel guard for this particular motor...the torque master lower end.😩😩😩
@@patriotoutdoors5307 so I thought the same thing too, called Gator Guard and they said there's fit. I paid well over 100 bucks, it came, not even close to fitting! Buch a morons working over there. The customer service rep assured me it would fit well they were wrong. The frustrating part is I called over there twice.
It held up great...until our boat was totaled by a PWC on May 1st!😩😩😡😡 More content coming this weekend...we are finally back in the game and on the water!
That is going to happen a lot the more you use the boat unfortunately that why I never repair mine. It's scraped up but I don't notice any performance issues. Just looks. Can't tell you how many times I was up front on the trolling motor and all the sudden the skeg hits a giant rock out of nowhere. Just happened again this past weekend in six feet of water. Boulder came out of nowhere. All at very slow speeds but happens even when your not running the motor. Unavoidable. My boat is also not brand new like yours anymore so that helps me not care as much about the looks. Great job fixing it though
Patriot Fishing and Boating question. How high above the bow does your terrova stand when deployed and many inches is the shaft on your terrova? I just ordered one with a 60 inch shaft because that's what the new targa 18's come with but I just hope it's not going to be up to my waist and get in the way. The original motor guide my targa 18 came with only has a 36 inch shaft but it's not far enough under the water line when deployed. Only about 4 inches.
Paul Suzio ... Hey, brother...good question. I have it set to stand about 16 inches up from the base and it extends down into the water about 18”...it is a Minn Kota® Terrova® 24V, 80-lb. (36.29 kg) thrust, 60" (1.52 m) shaft, foot-control trolling motor w/i-Pilot®
Paul Suzio ... You’re welcome, bro. I’m curious how it turns out for you! But I already know it will be great because that unit is awesome...especially when you have one or twin Humminbirds like we do...great system and technology!
