How to repair a starter motor: rebuild and replace brushes 

Great idea for keeping those brushes open. Going to try it.

Growing up in the 80s we never purchased new starters or rebuilt starters. We always purchased a rebuild kit for about four dollars to seven dollars.

When did you move out of the US? Last thing I remember you had bought a farm somewhere in like Virginia or something? Glad to see more content out of you. Like blargh7375, I ended up building and restoring a couple of motorcycles and some of your videos were God-sends for helping me figure out some of the issues.

Nice demo, Max! Loved that tip about using a spray can cap to get those brushes into place. I'm surprised the solenoid is separate from the motor here. Is this from a motorcycle?

We have fitted the bruss however when test, it just push out and not spin. What is the course

i had to wack my starter motor the other day for it to start, so is it my brushes that are worn ? i wasnt sure if it could have been the solenoid on it sticking a bit?

Hey Iv got a question form a video 9 years ago lol I have a 1980 Suzuki and I cannot figure out how to change the headlight for the life of me. How do I get the bulb out of the casing to actually swap them out?

That's not a see clamp! Its a Jesus clamp! When it flies off to God knows where and you say "Jesus, where in hell did it go!" Carbon or Graphite will do in a pinch! Carpenter pencil lead! Nail polish to bond the pieces together!
