What's the best glue for this sort of thing ? Can I use Tec 7 ? My issue is at one end where it plugs into the body of the machine. The flexible hose seems to be fixed hard into the ring I pulled out . Probably with an industrial glue. I haven't tried pulling it out yet but it's gonna be tough without deforming the plastic ring
In Regards to fixing a ( Cracked - Broken Hose ..... In the Middle... Or rather, in a location of the Hose that would make Your Hose way too Short to Re- use.... You Don't have Many Choices.... Take the Time to Think of Your Options , First. The vacuum came with the Proper, Usable,minimum- length of Hose....and when You Start Cutting Off the Destroyed/ Useless Coils of Hose.... It just Starts getting Shorter....and Shorter.... So , After You Disect the Bad Pieces.....Will the Hose still fit in Place....Still be Useable...? Sometimes it Will be Necessary to Locate a Local Vacuum Repair / Service/ Sales Store. They usually have TONS of old, Useful Replacement Hoses.. Just Waiting for Your Arrival. Sometimes... a repair is too much Aggravation , effort...when a few phone calls, to Locate a Good Used Hose...at a reasonable Price, can save time ,effort, energy. You must Consider...Is the quality of the Hose Material going to hold up a while Longer...? Or will it Just Crack open Soon, Somewhere else , in the length of Hose.... Then what...? To try placing a tube in between a crack... Could require ( finding some kind of light pipe or Tube, then placing automotive clamps on the Hose, near each end of the tube. Using that method, You can introduce MORE Hose, to make Your Hose Long enough, or More Useful... Only a Suggestion: I never Tried yet, replacing the Glue... But I wonder if " Shoe Goop " repair Glue, might be Useful as well. Whatever Glue You use....the mating Surfaces should be Cleaned Thoroughly... Pulling apart the Old Coils of Hose, With Pliers, Needle Nose vise grips...digging out Carefully, Old Stuck in Glue is a Tough Job...Not Fun....But it Must Be done... So Man Up...!! Or, just order a New Hose...Replacement, with the Proper Fittings, and Attachments- already to Re- Hook Back Up. Whatever You Resolve to Do....Make Sure , at the End, it is Air- Tight....! Mission Accomplished. You May Move on to the Next Project...
