Oh my gosh, I had the buttons problem intermittently for years. Today, decided to open it up and check, maybe some ribbon cables are sketchy or something. Looked up the disassembly process, just in case - and there was this new video on this topic. The tape fix worked like a charm. Thank you so much!!
Thank you so much for this video man. I have some buttons that don't work. Hopefully insulating those cables works. I'll let you know! Update: worked like a charm! So happy it's an easy fix.
Great detailed and helpful video, thank you. Last year I had unresponsive buttons too and fixed it by insulating the cables, after reading online this happens more often with APC. If case you're interested in expanding the use of your APC you can check the mapping I made for it over the last years, also nerdy stuff ;-).
hey ! thanks a lot for this video, there where almost none until now. mine just stopped working yesterday in the middle of a gig, the 8 device control buttons below device control knobs, all 8 don't work except shift and bank. I will try this fix. already dissembled it once, pretty stressful, but I could magically fix some other fails just by opening it and closing it. maybe moved something somewhere. Also, my crossfader is working bad, if I go past the white line under A and B it will start playing both sides as if it was in the middle. I could "duct tape " fix it, by jamming some pieces of wire right at the end of the fader opening, on each side, and tape it there, so when I send fader all the way to any side, it will stop on the jammed wire and won't go any further, doing the job. hope this works for someone, and please, why would they discontinue such a beast ! please bring it back! thanks for the vid
Can you help Me! My apc40 turns on and all the button lights up when i touch. However, when i connect to my laptop nothing happens. It is not recognized at all. I tried different wire, usb port on my computer etc. there are no drivers for apc40 mk2 to update.
