Yes, but you have to know what you're doing. Liquitex makes acrylic paints like the one I used in the video in a whole bunch of different colors. Black is very easy to do because black is pretty much the same anywhere you look at it. Other colors are harder to do because they're brighter, there are more shades, and some have tiny hints of other colors in them too. The red leather also has nice weathering on it too. I personally wouldn't want to paint over that because I can't recreate that. But if you want to go for it I would do some research and make sure you find the right shade of red paint before you start that project.
