Thanks so much, this was very helpful and easy to follow! My blinds look great now! A quick tip for anyone that likes to crochet; I used a small crochet needle to thread the large string through the slats, it made this step so much quicker.
I have to agree with the comments that were made. I was very worried about the time it might take to replace the slats our cat ruined on two of our new blinds, but you made it look very easy. I, too, think you are an excellent teacher. Thanks so much for going slow and making sure the camera was at the right angle throughout. Awesome.

Thanks Ron I had the exact same problem but it was 7 slats the cats broke off on the end to make their own window! I appreciate the video. I just completed it successfully. That other guy that did a video barely let me see what he was doing.

Omg thanks so much as I have 2 slats that are broken and I asked the company here in Ireland how much to fix as they were making my blinds shit looking sorry to say but the fella wanted €100 to fix so now I can say sorry I learned to fix it , again thanks and happy new year please god take care x
Thank you so very much for this video. I have two slats that my most recent cat broke. I now keep the blinds pulled up enough for him to sit on the ledge when he's in that room alone. I approached those blinds with the purpose of fixing them per your wonderful demonstration but....the blinds that are broken are the two bottom ones and there are no extra blinds underneath. Apparently the apartment complex either has them sized takes the extra ones out. Darn! Well, time to buy a new set. :/

This doesn't seem to work as well for the "cordless" blinds because the string rolled up into the top bar on mine. However, the blinds at least "appear" to be in good order and hopefully that's enough to prevent a $75 fee PER BLIND from our apartment complex. Edit: I think next time I'll find something to tie around the bottom of the string to prevent rolling.

It did help but I think I did a step wrong and I didn’t tie it at the bottom because it was to short so I just left it like that but it look together but half of them don’t have the string in them omg I hope my family doesn’t realize it
my windows face south and get all the sun. The top part breaks where you pull the cords. Can the top part be replaced and where would i find the replacement parts
I'm sorry I didn't see this b4 I threw away a pair tht had the same damage.. I also didnt know they only use the cordless blinds now. There NO LONGER sold in stores. I tried amazon,Walmart, a few others. Google said new law says they cant be sold (bc kids get caught up in them and get hurt or die.. For the strangest reason as I'm measuring the blind I'm trying to replace the cordless BLIND OF the same damn size dont fit ( were not wide enuf). Cant figure that one..
Well, thank you for asking... I recently had a nice long talk with my cat about this. I let her know how displeased I was with her. She let me know that my feelings were valid, but she also conveyed her feelings on wanting to see more of the outside world. I couldn't ignore her plea for a better view, so we came to an agreement that allows her ample window viewing opportunity. I hope this assuages your concerns.
