I have Acura MDX 2002 crank but doesn't start and the fuel pump doesn't work.i pulled out the electric cable from the fuel pump and it has 5 pins and checked the voltage in every one.only one give 11.5 voltage and the others give zero voltage .is that normal do I have to change the pump or it is electrical issue.thank you

Thanks for the tip. I was going to buy a new one but I resoldered the whole board instead. Why not? And now the car works fine. Before it would occasionally just not start, then have to sit a long time before restarting. Roll starting didn't work either. I did have to check another video that showed exactly where it was.

no pwr to all 6 coils...recently replaced 3 of 6...gd bat...temp outside was 10 degrees, so left running to heat inside...returned & car was off...checked what I could and found no pwr to all 6. Any thoughts?

True, If car is hot in the summer sun, it can also effect the relay. Air your car out first and try it. My 1995 Honda Accord has had issues in the summer. I now crack my windows a tad and park it under a shaded tree. It helps. I'm gonna need a new relay, or maybe a pump. Arghhhhhh

Need Ideas : My 1988 Honda Prelude Ignition Switch Always Started the Car Perfect...but Suddenly...I Only get the Dash Lights, On....but when turning the Switch to start the car----- absolutely Nothing Happens...( No solenoid Start....) But--- I rigged up a Push Button Switch, ran the two Wires to the Solenoid, and The Power comes from the POSITIVE + bolt at the rear of the Starter....the Car Starts fine....!!! As Long as the Key Switch is Activated....( and the Dash lights had come on , then stopped as Usual... Sooo why does the Key Switch not Turn on the ( Starter/solenoid) Anymore...?? Is Something Broken at the Switch...??? Do I need to buy a New Ignition Switch...?? Do I have to Pull the Steering Wheel to Inspect the Ignition Switch....?? Is there Some kind of ( inline Fuse ) that I should Know About...?? Should I have to check for : a short in the Power to the Solenoid/ Starter..?? I really Don't Know If this is a Typical Thing that Happens to 1988--- very old and Tired Preludes....!! This Car Has the "Flip- Up " Headlights....by the way....2-door. Please Respond with Any Helpful Clues....or Resolve....as I do Drive this Car Daily....with My Mickey -Moused Starting push Button....it Works Excellent... Thank You....Bill in L.A. 12-31-18.

Hi, in my car, a honda Civic now replaced a new fuel pump and got another AC pump relay, but unfortunately there is still nothing! I turn the key and do not click on the relay and the pump does not go but if you think of a car then it starts, there is a click and the pump goes. would not receive AC power from the relay ?? what should I look first of all?

Don't solder like him. The tip should heat the pad and melt the solder on the board. Apply new solder to the old solder area. Watch some soldering videos.

Well ....NOBODY RESPONDED TO HELP ME OUT....WITH SIMPLY : WHERE TO LOOK FOR THE MAIN RELAY ON MY 1988 HONDA PRELUDE 2.0 SI. BUT I WAS ABLE TO FIND IT ON MY OWN....UNDER THE DASH, ON THE STEERING WHEEL SIDE. I DID REMOVE/ UNPLUGGED, THE MAIN RELAY, OPENED IT UP TO LOOK AT THE SOLDER JOINTS....SAW NO EVIDENT PROBLEMS....HAD TO MAKE A BOLD DECISION : TO RE-SOLDER ALL 26 SOLDER POINTS----ANYWAY---- ( CAREFUL , NOT TO SPREAD SOLDER ACROSS CIRCUIT BOARD ISLANDS....GUESS WHAT....THE VEHICLE NOW WORKS EXCELLENT....NO MORE RUNNING OUT OF GAS....WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY....NO MORE " NO START" CRANKING....THE PROBLEM WAS SOLVED , AFTER MONTHS OF PUSHING, WAITING, SPRAYING STARTING FLUID...AND RUNNING BACK TO THE IGNITION SWITCH...( NOTE: I WAS VERY DESPERATE....BECAUSE AFTER 2- WEEKS OF SEARCHING THE INTERNET, CALLING AUTO PARTS STORES...TEXTING IDIOTS AT JUNKYARDS...TO TRY TO PURCHASE A RZ-0045 MITSUBA MAIN RELAY....TO FIND THAT NOT ONE WAS AVAILABLE.....
