A brand new Invicta Pro Diver needed a new battery. Pro Divers are not diving watches, they cannot handle the water pressure in the depth of water. Although they are good watches, but submerged in water once will cause permanent damage.
If only it was this easy! I have 2 women's Invicta watches (same style, different face colors) and today I attempted to replace the battery on one of them. My plan was to take the working battery from one to use in the other watch. Two problems: the back of one watch was on so tight that I couldn't get it off. The other problem was that I couldn't get the (dead) battery back into the the battery compartment. It's slightly different than the one shown in this video, and even though it looks like there's nothing obstructing the space, I just couldn't get the battery back into the space. Now I have to decide whether I'm going to try again, or pony up the $ and have a jeweler do it 😒.
Pro Diver model no. 30480- The white case that sits on top of the battery and watch components is not fitting smoothly. It is slightly tilted and now I can't screw on the back of the watch. The battery is inserted correctly. I can't seem to figure out why the white case isn't fitting flush. Any ideas?
pull out the crown like you are about to set the time. Then insert the white case. This should solve the issue. You may have pressed the movement further into the case and that could be causing the issue.
