Man, the double disc jewel case was driving me crazy ngl. But it was simpler than the normal one, this video is a must see to all cd collectors around the world. Thanks a lot!
The method for single discs made replacing a few CD and game cases I have meaning to replace for ages! I'll have to keep in mind how to do it with with double CD cases. I think this was the most comprehensive and helpful How To I've come across for this particular problem.
Man I hate jewel cases I literally bought a brand new one at Wal Fart and it cracked in my hand I'm trying to upgrade the cases now thanks for the info.
Thanks for dropping this vid! Out of the lot of 222 CDs I told you about a few days ago many of the CDs were loose and quite a few had busted cases. I think I will buy slim cases for the loose CDs and replace the busted cases with some cases from eBay. This vid will come in handy!!

@@510Books Hi! I have a question. I only need to replace just the front of the CD jewel case but not the back. The front has a crack in the middle so I wish to be able to open the front 'door' without breaking it??? Thanks!
Great video! Would you pls tell me how to open the double disk all-transparent case? I can’t seem to open the tray’s part, it seems stuck and I’m afraid to broke it!
It opens like a normal jewel case. The internal tray either has the hinge on the outside or inside, so it opens to the left or right. If the hinge is on the inside the tray will just swing open when you tilt it but if it's on the outside you will have to lift up the tray from near the spine. Hopefully that helps.
Thanks for the helpful video. I have a number of single CD digipaks and would like to put them in single jewel cases. Is it possible to put the digipak artwork/inserts in the front and back of the jewel case so that the name of the title/artist also shows on the spine of the CD? Thanks.
When I get or have a broken CD case, I usually keep empty trays and cases themselves. The broken case or tray goes into a paper bag from the market for recycling.
You will need to buy a new case and use the tray as a replacement. Just make sure to buy a clear of black tray case depending on what the one is you are replacing.
I didn't count but it was quite a few times where I heard something along the lines of "be careful". That is fault #1 with cases like this. You shouldn't have to be careful every time you handle a cd case out of fear that you might break something rendering the case basically useless. You run a store that has hundreds of these cases so I'm guessing it's no big deal to you to constantly handle cases but trust me when I say that the consumer is fed up with having to regularly be replacing these poorly designed and constructed cases. The cases are a joke that store owners should have made a point a long time ago to their suppliers that you are selling an inferior product. I don't know a single person that has a large collection of these cases that hasn't expressed dissatisfaction with them. Plain and simple these cases made from brittle plastic should have been replaced with something better a long time ago.
CD Jewel cases are unfortunately easy to crack and break, especially if they are dropped. I have come across different levels of fragility for cases over the years, with some being more flexible and not as brittle, but most are the complete opposite. Thanks for watching and expressing your frustrations.
