HOW TO REPLACE A CHAINSAW SPROCKET 

I fixed up a 041 farm boss and spent way too long figuring out how to take the sprocket off. First video that actually shows how and why to stop the piston. Many thanks!

First time I’ve heard that method of tensioning the chain. Going in I thought, “I’m not gonna learn anything - I already know how to replace a sprocket “. I was wrong. Learned a couple things at least. Thanks!👍👍

Running that saw I could see the bar oil spray even though I was thinking it sounded really dry. Then you showed us the sprocket. Bingo!

Be careful if you use that skinny piston stop to remove the clutch, they have a habit of breaking if the clutch is over tightened or if it’s installed slightly wrong in the cylinder. Great video👍🏼.

Thank you sir ,that was an awesome lesson as always, i like that 3 drag rule for the chain ,I've always done the snap technique, I will be doing the 3-drag from now on much faster!

if you don’t have a piston stop just take off the spark plug and stuff a piece of clean rope inside until you can’t anymore (not forcing more in just work it) use a lighter to get any loose ends of the rope.

I can't believe you touched the chain while that thing was running regardless the worn sprocket making it bind or the chain brake being on then disengaging it. Sorry bud but THAT'S CRAZY.

Mine acted just like that one was. I guess after 45 years old it was time too replace the sprocket.

Do you have any video for homelite UT10910 chainsaw , mine cuts off on full trottle and the blade stop turning on pressure too. And also the gas push valve plastic is cracked. I don’t know if I need special tool to remove the sprocket.

Is there a way to convert a ms291 so it takes a ms 290 chain

So another good video. Off topic though, my Stihl BR550 back pack blower quit running last week. Took it in my shop and checked spark first. Checked air gap, disconnected kill switch wire and no spark. Got new coil today and installed. Using my cordless drill to crank over. At a low speed still no spark. cranking at a high speed strong spark. Am i missing something? I put the shroud and starting rope back on and cranked, nothing.
