Thank you for your tutorial! I was able to replace my 2008 Honda Accord key fob battery by myself! I didn't want to ask anyone how to do it, because I needed to prove to myself that I could actually do it on my own, with your tutorial of course! The hardest part was actually getting my Honda key back on those darn keyrings that just don't want to "give it up!".

Use the key from the key fob to open it instead of a screwdriver. Put it in between the two sides and twist.

This video does not show the right way to do it, in fact, she broked it and dropped a small piece of the keyfab

Incorrect reassembly: On opening, the double silver prongs of the battery side were up against the large gold rectangular pad of the button side. On reassembly, the double silver prongs were not touching the large gold pad.

Hi Mark, the battery pod will only snap back together one way, if you try to put it back together going the wrong way it will not snap shut. In the video you can see that we rotated it because it wasn't closing. Hope we were able to help you get your battery changed!

Those instructions are OK, up to the point where they open the outer case. After that...can we say amateur hour. Just look at the little rectangular pice that hold the battery & electronics. There is a small metal clip on each end, simply flick it up with a fingernail.

If you're going to show people how to change the battery maybe you should learn how to show everyone the correct way of opening the "guts" properly. I figured it out on my own so you should be able to figure out for your viewers that you can pop it open very easily and without a flathead by pressing your thumbnail into the release slot. #DontQuitYourDayJob
