That is not a typical symptom of a failed PCV, but it is possible as the increased vacuum on the crankcase can cause more oil than normal to be sucked into the combustion chamber.

I'm getting gray smoke on start up on my 2011 XF. 5litter NA. I was thinking of changing my PCV

yeah, wtf were they thinking, i have the same vehicle and engine and it's obstructed by the intake cooler. How did you manage to replace it? And it's just that one on the left right?

I hear a loud hissing sound coming from this area where the pcv valves are on any idea how do diag it to see if they real are the culprit

If you hhve been driving with the high idle, I recommend changing spark plugs. Mine was burnt by this. I wished I looked at this right when it happened

I was charged 2400 just for them to do this. I was told 10 hours.

They are different lengths, correct. They are slightly different colors as well. What would happen if they get mixed up? Unsure. Best to pay attention as they are removed one at a time.
