To get access to the water filter housing and water reservoir, first, turn off the water supply. Pull the refrigerator out and go to the rear of the refrigerator. Remove the cover for the water line. You'll need slack in that water line later on in the repair. You'll also need slack in the 2 water lines that go to the freezer door hinge. They're clipped right underneath the cabinet. Pull those water lines out and disconnect the John Guest fittings. Next, pull out the drawers and shelves. Remove the water filter. Remove the 2 screws from the housing. At the back of the housing, there's a keeper that the housing slides into. Pull the housing forward, then carefully reach in the back to disconnect the water lines. The slack created in the water lines earlier will allow you to reach the water line connections. The inlet water line comes in from the back. The water lines going to the freezer door hinge go through the floor of the compartment. Remove the retainers from the John Guest fittings and disconnect the water lines. Remove the housing and connect the water lines to the new housing. Reassemble the refrigerator.
