Hey Chico . I just followed your video to install an alternator . Where you had issues I didn't . I had issues where you didn't . but we got through it. Thanks for being thorough.
Good job with the video, I like your approach! Your method looks easier than others I watched. This is a job i wasn't looking forward to. Thanks for showing me how to do it easier!
@@BUTLR_ do you have a big wrench? it is hard so you really need a big wrench so you can have more laverage, also you first put the belt on the alternator and then finish on the power steering pump.
realistically no, any new mechanic will get on your ass but the truth is, you can have a ton of damaged fins before it doesnt work properly, fins dont hold coolant the pipes in between them do, hard to see them though. its fine just try to focus damage control if you do have to do that
I saw the fin damage and was thinking about that when he was removing the alternator. I think maybe a sheet of steel or aluminum roll flashing slid in against the radiator would protect it while you move the alternator. What do you think?
thanks!!!! made it easy. now i misplaced the bolts and dont remember which of the bottom two was longer was it the side of the passenger or the driver the two lower bolts which was longer
what i do is i just get it out of the tensioner and tight it with a piece of rope or some thing similar so i dont loose routing but if you already lost routing then, it is better to take the tire out of there and put it from beneath first, put it on all the pulleys and make sure it does not come off the grooves from any where and finish it on top.
@@JM-AUTO yep I followed what you did and used bungee cord to hold the belt and I put new Alternator in. and I didn’t loose the routing of the belt. But now I’m having so much trouble trying to put the piece of the belt back underneath onto the alternator . I’m loosing the tensioner and trying so hard but i can’t get it . Any tips
My battery light will not turn off. I have replaced my alternator 2x (original honda), new battery, changed the electric load module detector, all fuses are good, and it still won't turn off. any advice?
sorry for the delay, there are some steps to take and i think if you are familiar with wire diagram and testing, here is the link of the video with wire diagram and repair with the software: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-D5MkOSNC1FA.html
