I could be wrong about this but… those plastic push pin clips like the one prized out with a small flathead screwdriver at around the 5 minute mark are supposed to be removed by pushing in on the center post. The center post pushes in about 1/8” which releases the clamping mechanism underneath and allows the whole clip to easily slide out. This style of clip is used on every Toyota I’ve owned. Perhaps Toyota changed their clip design? Regardless, I appreciate the very helpful repair videos you folks put out. I use them often.

Repair shops never ever put all the screws back! One time I was going down the highway and a piece of the undercarriage plastic cover came off my bumper and got run over my car and other cars smashed into it all because they didn't put all the screws back.
@@TheTruelakersfan especially places like Walmart and they have a habit of yanking engine covers off and breaking the pins and then just laying the cover lose on top of the engine
Unless you're really bored and enjoy doing stuff like this, that is a complete waste of time for getting a correct temperature reading which is usually not correct anyways
Oh man, you gotta take the front bumper off? Okay if I’m charging for labor but the chances of me doing this on my Camry are now nil. Guess it’ll be 72 degrees everyday in Wisconsin. But thanks though for the vid.
+Fresh Fingers It is the job of the ambient temperature sensor to measure the external temperature of the vehicle as a reference point for the computer to make calculations. The computer will continuously monitor the signal from the ambient temperature sensor and make automatic adjustments as needed to maintain cabin temperature.
