Only vid I've seen of this where the installer is smart enough to describe what direction to turn the motor upon installation.

Just a note, trucks with auto climate control have a slightly different blower motor that is held in with screws, not a twist lock.

Mine had auto climate and the tab style blower and a different connector than that

Quick glance at moms truck I didn’t see any screws so I assumed the worst and went home for the day. I was already worn out by that time. I assumed it was going to be one of those whole day long full dash removal jobs. Not the easiest blower in the world to remove. 🤔🤪😀😀 Rats have built a nest in there and I was trying to figure how to access and clean it out. Thank you so much.

If your resistor is continuing to blow, change the pigtail on the resistor before blindly replacing the motor. You can remove the motor and test it with a battery to determine if it is bad or not.

Did you disable the airbags before doing the swap? My repair manual says to but if I don't have to, I don't want to. It sounds complicated. Anybody that has done this, the info sure would be appreciated. Thanks.

Question - I hear a Thump from the blower area when the AC is running on the lowest setting. Could this be debris? I have a 2000 Chevy C2500 3/4 Ton 5.7 L 2WD Pick Up, does this vehicle have a Cabin Air Filter??
