this was actually a great explanation. the lady at the autopart store told me the same thing. when she replaced my bulb; she explained how the light connector isn't connecting because even w the new headlight nothing came on still. currently going to a dealership now.... smh

What year model Elantra are you working on? I think it's more difficult (tighter) in the 2020 model. For drivers side light many people have to access it thru the wheelwell.

my question is YES LEFT to LOOSEN BUT which LEFT.. ??? LEFT as you are facing the car?? Or with your back to the car.. So the cap would turn .. towards teh engine OR away from the engine?? that is clearer. I have a girls hand and my hand is soo bruised and I managed to get it to turn but now I still cant get it off and NOW I wonder if I turned it the wrong direction??
