***CAUTION*** IF YOUR TOP DASH GLOVE BOX IS ATTACHED TO A TETHER WIRE, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO FULLY REMOVE THE WHOLE TOP GLOVE BOX. JUST LIFT IT SLIGHTLY TO EXPOSE THE TWO 7MM SCREWS ON TOP AND YOU CAN GET YOUR RATCHET INSIDE TO TAKE THEM OFF. Our top glove box was not attached to any tether, so we were able to remove the whole thing. OTHER VEHICLES MAY VARY.
This video demonstrates how to remove and replace the climate control unit on your 2010-2012 Ford Fusion. Our A/C would blow cold for about 15-20 seconds before it would turn hot. Since our A/C compressor and actuators inside the dash were working, replacing the climate control unit fixed our problem. Tools needed are: 7mm & 8mm socket, ratchet & extension, pry tool (or flathead screwdriver), T20 Torx bit/screwdriver.
