Just wanted to tell you how I installed the seals on the evaporator tubes behind the expansion valve. If you take a short 1/4” socket extension you can slide the seal over it and it will fit perfectly into the High pressure line going into the evaporator. This will allow you to work the seal on the tube without dropping it into the evaporator housing. You can use a 3/8” extension for the low pressure line. Just leave it installed until you get the seal on the stub tubing. If it falls the extension will capture it and you can continue to work it on. Hope this helps!
You certainly helped me with this extreme time consuming and difficult jo. I eventually got the compressor out and I finally replaced with a new compressor. Thanks oh so much.
Yes infact your expansion valve is the first thing to go and that's what causes your compressor and everything else to go bad that is probably the worst thing about the 2010 F-150 with a 4.6 l. Of course nine has $220,000 on it before anything went out. First was the alternator then the expansion valve then the power steering pump and the ac compressor at the same time. Fortunately parts are cheap and labor is pretty easy if you can comprehend video teaching such as this.
