New Control Arm with Ball Joint from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ib/1ASLF00546
This video shows you how to install a new quality TRQ lower control arm with ball joint in your 2005-2010 Chevrolet Cobalt. Control arms are a crucial part of the suspension system of your vehicle. They not only carry the load of the vehicle to the wheel, but they typically also maintain its alignment. Control arms are typically large and strong, so you may be surprised it needs replacing. They contain rubber bushings for smoother rides at the cost of eventual wear, or integrated ball joints that require replacing the entire arm when they wear.
This process should be similar on the following vehicles:
2005 Chevrolet Cobalt
2006 Chevrolet Cobalt
2007 Chevrolet Cobalt
2008 Chevrolet Cobalt
2009 Chevrolet Cobalt
2010 Chevrolet Cobalt

Took my '09 Cobalt to car x for an alignment they wanted to charge me $1,200 to do my control arm bushings only. Which to me made no sense you might as well replace the whole control arm which is faster and it would have been The least expensive way to go.. I was able to do it in two and a half hours by myself and a pair of control arms were $80. Thanks for the awesome videos it is definitely greatly appreciated!!!!!!!

For the large bolt at the back of the control arm, how do you get the nut out ? The bolt is out but is rusty and has damaged treads, and the nut is still stuck in it's cage, and I need to put the replacement nut and bolt. Let me know, thanks.

@@haydenjohnsonturgeon2288 Sad but true! GM uses the cheapest (shittiest) steel they can find on their "throw away" line of cars.
