I did notice when you reinstalled, the speedometer gauge was two or three mph advanced. Is there an issue as far as putting the needles back on and having them display accurately? I ordered a new overlay, but now I'm a little bit nervous about replacing it.
Good video. Helps a lot in R&R dash to gauge cluster. I was hoping you would have shown how to disable the LED. I disabled ABS due to front suspension upgrades and I have 4 lights on dash. FYI: usually if the airbag light is on, it should be at least 90% of the time, the clock spring under the steering wheel. Just my experience.
Definitely, the LED part require soldering which I had someone else do!! And I agree on the airbag light but for this instance the vehicles had to be shipped over seas, so per the shipping company no dash lights could be light even the Airbag light!!
For some reason we followed these step by step, but the gauges on the speedometer and coolant now are going underneath the lowest (0) level. I made sure there was space so they didn’t rub, and also put them back on correctly. Do you have any advice?
When you take the needles off you have to remember to keep it in that same position so when you reinstall it it’ll be accurate to the factory set up, it could also be that the needles are pushed down to hard and can’t move freely anymore. Or in the worst case a wire got loose or broke in the process of the reinstall!! Hope this helps!!
